Signing up is easy with us. Simply Select login / register on our page and enter in your information. You will then be signed in automatically and emailed simultaneously.
Goalies with MyPuck are required to be at least 19 years of age or older.
No, it’s free to join our service.
Generally speaking you can expect to make at least $35 per skate. Sometimes you can make more money depending on the length of the game.
Yes, we take a cut of the action. That means teams are charged a service fee to book with us. We also charge a service fee to goalies ($1.50 per month for games played).
It really all depends on you. Games will show up on the app. You'll need to first opt-into the game. The team will have the right to choose whichever goalie they want. If you're selected to play you'll receive an email, app notification and it will show in your app you're playing.
Our app automatically sends you email notifications directly to the email address you have signed up with. You will receive an email from us when you are confirmed. You will also receive app notifications updating you with the same info.
Sorry, but no that’s against our policy. This ensures goalies are only required to show up and play rather than handle any customer service requirements. Leave that part to us!
As this is against our terms of service, you will be immediately removed from the MyPuck roster and will forfeit any earnings you made for that month.
If you’re interested in playing a game you have to first opt into the game via the app. If you’re selected you’ll be notified through the app and email of the game.
Though we discourage opting out of a game once you’re approved for it you can do that by cancelling your participation. It is YOUR duty to remove yourself, please don’t call us to say you don’t want to play anymore. By removing yourself the team is automatically notified and can pick a new goalie. Please ensure you’ve seen your name removed from the approved game screen. If not you are still scheduled to play.
When the game is less than 2 hours away we recommend you continue with your scheduled game. Please note it is your requirement to ensure you get to the game on time (a minimum of 15 minutes prior to the posted game time). Goalies that continue to opt out of games may be removed from the app at MyPuck’s sole discretion.
If you miss your scheduled game your earnings from that game will be deducted from future earnings. MyPuck will reserve the right to remove goalies from our roster for missed games. If you decide to opt out of a game but are still listed as playing you are then still scheduled to play it. If you are unsure if you have correctly opted out you can check the ‘My Games’ tab or contact us. We have several failsafes in place, telling us you didn't know you were booked to play will not be a useable reason for missing a game.
This is up to you. We definitely encourage you to have access to a car to get to games rather than relying on public transport or hoping for someone to pick you up. It is your responsibility to get to your scheduled game.
It’s Canada so bad snowstorms do happen. We stay in constant communication with teams and should a game be cancelled due to weather we will update you ASAP. However, it is your responsibility to get to your game. Safety is of immense importance. If you feel unsafe on the roads DO NOT wait until the last minute to tell us.
Goalies are paid for all games played over the course of a month within the first 3-4 days of the following month. This allows us time to review and confirm all games have been played as well as sending out payments. Payments are sent to the email address we have on file for you.
Goalies are required to be at the arena AND checked in with the team at least 15 minutes prior to the posted game time. Failure to do so could result in the team picking up another goalie and you losing out on playing (goalies will not be paid if this happens). If you are running late it is your requirement to call us and let us know of your timing so we can inform the team and keep your spot. Alternatively you can turn on your goalie tracking option. Just like Uber, the team can see how far you are from the arena. This is a good option to turn on and will only track you for the games you're playing.
Team FAQ’s
The fastest way to rent a goalie is to add the game to the app (you will need to create a profile and add your credit card). Once you add your game goalies can opt in to play. From there you pick who you’d like to play. Once you pick a goalie they are confirmed in multiple ways. There's no need to call or get an "extra" confirmation. The goalie knows they are scheduled to play.
Yes! You may also contact us by email or phone. Please note these methods are not best served for emergency requirements, please use the app. In these 2 cases we can help you book a goalie as long as you don’t mind waiting for us to respond (usually within the hour).
Once you pick a goalie they will be automatically notified in the app and email of their approval for a game. There is no need to “extra” confirm this as the goalie has already been communicated with in multiple ways.

In the rare and unfortunate case this happens please contact us 15 minutes prior to the game so we can work to solve the problem. If the goalie is a full no-show we’ll contact the goalie to find out what happened. In most cases the team is fully refunded along with a credit for a free game in the future.

We kindly ask that if you’re booking with everyone or waiting on a goalie to get back to you to wait before booking a goalie with us. We have a 98%+ success rate of filling nets so you won’t have to worry with us. You also don't need multiple goalies showing up to your game!
